the hobbit is really good, especially when he gets to the lonely mountains and meets smaug. seriously couldn't put it down at that point.

Re: what are you reading lately?
the problem with the hobbit is it didn't get interesting until the middle and getting through all that boring shit sucks.

Re: what are you reading lately?
i read let the right one in recently. it was awesome. almost as good as the movie, probably one of the few cases where the movie is better than the book.

That short story should take you all of forty five minutes to read. What is stopping you?i thought about re-reading Alice in wonderland again. maybe i'll do that first.

The Hobbit is much more entertaining than the Lord of the Rings trilogy for most. I find the Hobbit to be an engaging, quick read. You can literally finish it in a day if you have nothing to do and a desire to finish it. The Lord of the Rings trilogy takes much more time and effort. The lore is much deeper. The Stand also has an appealing story, but is convoluted and difficult to read due to Steven Kings style of writing which consists of character back-story that could make each of his characters into novelettes of their own.

Re: what are you reading lately?
i've heard many things, i was intrigued. Tucker tends to not be nearly as funny as his friends. But as I read it, i'm wondering if I am supposed to be able to say i've done a lot of these things or been in these situations, and what that says about me.
