Google Earth Discovers Atlantis.

Well maybe. Google Earth recently expanded to google Ocean. And they found this:

Atlantis experts say it is near one of the theorized locations. The sonar images clearly show what could be the outlines of a city, and something that is almost 100% man made. There is talk of it being Atlantis, or secret military operations bases, or maybe the lair of a bond villain. Whatever it is, it is interesting. Google had this to say:

"In this case, however, what users are seeing is an artifact of the data collection process. Bathymetric (or sea floor terrain) data is often collected from boats using sonar to take measurements of the sea floor. The lines reflect the path of the boat as it gathers the data."

They also added:

"The fact that there are blank spots between each of these lines is a sign of how little we really know about the world’s oceans.”


I think this si pretty interesting. thoughts?
