Re: Best Batman Movie (Live Action)
i voted Batman Begins. Much better than Dark Knight. Dark Knight was too long, dropped it's story about half way through then scrambled to pick it up, finally getting back on track just in time to end. Dark Knight should have ended when the Joker story ended, saving Two-Face. I hate to draw this comparison, but one of Spider-Man 3's biggest problems was trying to do too much in too little time, had they only done Sandman and left out Venom the movie would have been infinitely better. In the same way, if The Dark Knight had only done the Joker, and simply set Two-Face up for the next movie, not only could they have cut the length of the film down, they could have streamlined it more and been able to hold the audience and keep then immersed. I have talked to many people who said they did not like TDK because they lost interest and it dragged and got boring. The second time I saw it (even though it was IMAX) I felt the exact same way. It got to the point where I was just waiting for the movie to end. Batman Begins on the other hand I have watched literally back to back and been just as interested in it as I always was. I think the writing in Begins is better, I think that Christian Bale does a better job in Begins. I think that Begins was much more successful in presenting a 'real world this could happen' type of super hero. And as much as I love Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckheart, I was much more interested watching Cillian Murphy and Liem Neeson. Also I hate Maggie Gyllenhaal and she made it incredibly hard for me to enjoy the movie, to the point where me and my friend hi-fived and cheered when she died. People didn't like that. I did not enjoy the whole 'batman goes to Tokyo' bit. Or Gordon's fake death and his incredibly campy return. And side note, why is his wife named Barbera?
Overall I thought Batman Begins was better made, batter written, more interesting film. Not to say that Dark Knight wasn't a good movie. But given the choice, I'll choose to watch Begins.

Re: Best Batman Movie (Live Action)
Barbara was his wife. first off. his first wife was barbara gordon and they named his adopted daughter after her. his second wife was sarah essen. she was killed by the joker. the gordon fake death was amazing and batman going to tokyo was also a great touch because it showcased that he operates outside of gotham, just like in the comics (i.e. batman: child of dreams) maggie gyllenhal was SO much better than katie holmes and her crooked face that it wasn't even funny and i thought that the plot didn't drop at all but, in fact, the movie had two climaxes.

Re: Best Batman Movie (Live Action)
Thanks for clarifying the name thing. As far as Holmes vs Gyllenhal, well I guess we'll have to wait for celebrity boxing. On the rest, i respectfully disagree.

Re: Best Batman Movie (Live Action)
Okay so obviously Dark Knight is the best made one with the best acting but I have a soft spot for Batman and I am in loooooooove with Returns. They are made completely different though.

Re: Best Batman Movie (Live Action)
i never said "Catwoman was bad" go back and read my post. All I said was she was my least favorite part. Returns was a great flick. So having something be my least favorite part of a great flick does not mean it was bad.
